Privacy policy

Short, because we collect very little. This is a static website with no accounts, no logins and no forms — which removes most of what a privacy policy usually has to explain.

Who we are

cryptocurrency.gifts is an independent information website. For any privacy question, contact contact@cryptocurrency.gifts.

What we collect

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web-server request data when a page is served — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, user agent and referring page. This is generated automatically by the act of serving a website and is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing errors. It is not used to build a profile of you.

If you email us

We receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to act on corrections. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list, and we do not sell or share contact details.

Analytics

Where we use analytics, we prefer privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement — page views and referrers rather than individual tracking. If cookie-based analytics are introduced, this page will be updated and a consent mechanism provided before any non-essential cookie is set.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data. There is no version of this site where that happens.
  • We do not run advertising networks or behavioural retargeting pixels.
  • We do not fingerprint devices or attempt to identify individual visitors.
  • We do not ask for wallet addresses, seed phrases or identity documents. No legitimate information site needs any of those, and anybody asking you for a seed phrase is stealing from you.
  • We do not have a newsletter you can be signed up to by accident.

Cookies

This is a static site and does not set tracking cookies of its own. Any cookie set would be strictly necessary for the site to function, or set with your consent.

Note that external sites you click through to set their own cookies under their own policies. Once you leave this site, the receiving platform's privacy policy governs — read it there.

Affiliate links

Some outgoing links may earn us a commission. Mechanically, this usually means the destination platform records that a visitor arrived from this site, typically via a URL parameter or a cookie set by them on their own domain.

We do not receive your personal information from this. What we may see is aggregate reporting — how many visitors converted — not who they were. The commercial arrangement is explained in our editorial policy.

Third-party services

We keep these minimal deliberately. Fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a third-party CDN, which means your browser does not make requests to a font provider when you read a page here. Where any third-party service is used, it is limited to hosting and, potentially, aggregate analytics.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and comparable laws, you have rights to access, correct, delete and restrict processing of personal data about you, to object to processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

In practice we hold almost nothing: server logs, and any email correspondence you initiated. To exercise a right, email contact@cryptocurrency.gifts and we will respond within the applicable statutory period.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined by those laws.

Legal basis and retention

Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website, and are retained only as long as needed for security and diagnostics. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle the matter and to keep a record of corrections we have published.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Some pages discuss gifting crypto to minors — see gifting crypto to a child — and that guidance is written for the adult making the decision.

International transfers

Our hosting and email infrastructure may process data outside your country. Where transfers involve personal data from the EEA or UK, they are made on the basis of appropriate safeguards.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, and standard security headers are applied. Because there are no accounts and no stored user data beyond logs, the attack surface for your personal information is unusually small — which is a deliberate design choice rather than an accident.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Current version: August 2026.
